Salman Khan At Sajid Nadiadwala's Son Subhaan's Birthday Party

Salman Khan was good to his word and attended best friend Sajid Nadiadwala's elder son, Subhaan's birthday bash. Salman Khan Was the Star Attraction At Sajid Nadiadwala's Son Subhaan's Birthday Party.

Sajid Nadiadwala's wife Wardha says, "It was so sweet of Salman to come for the party and stay for almost an hour. The minute he walked in, all the kids went mad! They didn't leave him for a minute. It was very sporting of him to put on a fake moustache. He loves Subhaan and when I invited him for the party he immediately agreed. And though the theme was a 'cowboy' one a la Wanted, Salman wanted him dressed as Chulbul Pandey." Adds Subhaan's mom, "My son said that he'd cut his cake only if chachu, Salman Khan comes."

Stuck at work
Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor, the stars of the producer's next Anjaana Anjaani, however, could n't make it to the bash.

Sajid's wife Wardha explains the absence, "Ranbir and Priyanka got stuck shooting for a TV show in Film City. When we reached home after the party, we saw that Priyanka had sent cute gifts for Subhaan - a big remote controlled helicopter and a Hummer car. She even left a note for him saying, 'Subhaan, you are my first husband and I am so sorry that I couldn't come as I was stuck at work."

There were bungee simulations and a trampoline for kids to jump on. There was even a mechanical bull to ride on.

Goodies galore
Take-home gifts included personalised backpacks with the kids' names on them, cowboy hats (in pink for the girls and blue for the boys), Toy Story 3 goodie bags, giant-sized Wanted posters and Dabangg merchandise like Robinhood Pandey shades and watches.

Akshay Kumar (he was shooting for MasterChef) and his wife Twinkle Khanna were noticeably absent - maybe because PC was to make an appearance and Akki and Tina wanted to avoid any awkward moments. Their son Aarav, however, came for the party and was seen enjoying himself as was Zayed Khan's two sons (accompanied by their mom, Malaika).

The food at the party ranged from different types of cuisine to pastas, pav bhajis, sandwiches, chicken frankies and lollypops. Malaika Arora (Dabangg's Munni) made an appearance with her son Arhaan while Farah Khan's triplets, Diva, Anya and Czar came minus their mom.

Sajid Nadiadwala's Son Subhaan to Play the Junior Akshay in Housefull

It wasn't Akshay Kumar's son Aarav but Aarav's best friend Subhaan Nadiadwala who stepped in to play the young Akshay Kumar in Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull. And he didn't do it for free!

Nadiadwala wanted Akki's son Aarav who was vacationing in London during his dad's shooting, to play the junior Akshay. But Akshay refused saying he'd rather not expose his son to the camera at this age when Aarav is not sure if he wants to be an actor. In desperation, Sajid turned to his own son."

Subhaan, at this stage of the casting crisis decided to act tough. He negotiated a price to step into the role of the junior Akshay.

Says Sajid with a laugh, "I think my son will turn out to be a far bigger businessman than I ever was and is the most difficult star I've ever worked with. Forget getting him to work for free because he's my son he won't even slash his rate for his father. He drove a really hard bargain."

Subhaan has previously played the junior versions of Salman Khan in Nadiadwala's Jaan-e-Mann, Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's Main Hoon Na and a cameo in Sajid Khan's Hey Babyy.

Beta flicks

>> Mani Shankar got his son Prem to play a part in Mukhbiir. The boy firmly wanted a regular quota of chocolates during shooting until the film's leading man Sammir Dattani provoked Prem to ask his dad for a hefty remuneration.
>> Director Anil Sharma's son Utkarsh Sharma played Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel's son in Gadar Ek Prem Katha.
>> Karan Johar cajoled Shah Rukh Khan to let the star's son Aryan play his father's son in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Car Crazy Subhaan

While Akshay's son Aarav's birthday was celebrated on15th September the actor's good friend and producer Sajid Nadiadwala's six-year-old Subhaan celebrates his on 18th Sep. While Aarav had a carnival-themed party, buddy Subhaan wanted a Hawaiian theme.

Private affair
Says Mommy, "Subhaan knew what he wanted. He's a six-year-old but thinks like a grown up. He even went to Sajid's office and printed and designed the invitations for his party."
Wardha plans to invite kids from Subhaan's school along with friends from the industry. "Since it's the month of Ramzaan, we planned a small, private affair involving only close friends. I didn't want to disappoint Subhaan again this year. Last year, we didn't have a party, and we thought he deserved one this time!"

Hummer for my pal
Aarav and Subhaan who go to the same school, are close friends. For Aarav's birthday, Subhaan wanted to pick up his own gift for Aarav, and got him a remote-controlled Hummer. Meanwhile, the Nadiadwalas got him a techno-robot that moves and picks up things around.

Cars for the men
Wardha adds that her beta is totally into bikes and cars. They got him a Volkswagen Beetle he wanted. Sajid, meanwhile, has bought himself a Bentley. Moreover Subhaan wants all his friends to go back with return gifts.

So there are goodie bags for everyone, which includes specially printed T-shirts with personal pictures on them."

Like fathers, like sons
Sajid and Akshay are not just best friends forever, they also went to the same school and their wives have delivered babies in the same room of a hospital. Their sons are BFFs too!
