better 2011

Well it ain't a huge secret that 2010 sucked ass, what with the thesis and everything, so all I want for the next year is for it to be better. Ways in which this could become possible:

I get a new, full-time job.

I get a job that pays me lots of money.

I just get lots of money. Any way, I don't care how.

My love life becomes a whole lot more inspiring.

I magically get my driver's licence.

And then someone magically buys me a car.

I go overseas! That would be rad. It has never happened before so I would quite like this to happen for me. Thanks, world.

I get more healthy.

I end up looking like one of these girls:

A couple of simple requests really. Maybe I'll just get drunk for most of it and then I won't notice if it sucks or not. Note: this is the most plausible outcome.

Old Year Done, New Year Come

Jeremiah 29: 11 always comes back to my memory when I think about this years highs and lows. There were few highs but they were so awesome that they totally outshadow the lows. I have to say that I've been blessed. The New Year is going to be so mindblowing amazing that I am just going to enjoy what time I have left now...Can't wait to share....Happy New Year & Be Blessed.

Madhuri Dixit's Hubby Dr Shriram Nene and her sons Arin and Ryan are in Mumbai to celebrate the New Year with the actress. Madhuri's parents Shankar and Snehlata Dixit were also present. This episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa will be telecast on Monday, Jan 3rd 2011, 9 PM IST on Sony TV.

Spain's Dani Pedrosa claimed his fifth MotoGP victory with a superb flag-to-flag ride on his Honda in the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez.
The 22-year-old claimed the championship lead from Casey Stoner as the Australian struggled on his Ducati.
Pedrosa rocketed past pole sitter and arch-rival Jorge Lorenzo to take the lead on the first corner and proceeded to lay down a series of blistering laps to open up a handsome over the rest of the field.
Five-times MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi claimed second place, some three seconds behind Pedrosa, while his Yamaha team mate Lorenzo finished third.
American Nicky Hayden was fourth on his Honda but defending champion Stoner finished back in 11th place after taking two detours on the gravel early in the race.
Fellow Australian Chris Vermuelen was tenth on his Suzuki.

Poonam Dhillon's son, Anmol recently met his idol Hrithik Roshan. He aspires to be a dancing sensation and an actor.

Says a source, "Poonam doesn't take her son to too many filmi events but last week when Anmol heard Hrithik was coming to one, he accompanied his mother to this event.

When Hrithik entered, he spoke to the mother-son duo warmly and even later posed for pictures with the boy."

The source adds, "What was cute was that Anmol brought his own camera along and asked his mother to take pictures while he posed. Hrithik took time out for Anmol and clicked pictures with him."

Poonam confirms, "This is the first time that Anmol met Hrithik. That's why I took him along. He loves Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapur too.

My son wants to be an actor and seems to be showing a passion for films. I have told him to complete his studies.

He's currently studying business and marketing in the USA and wants to do an acting course in the UK next year.

His dad (film producer Ashok Thakeria) and I have told him we will support him as Anmol is a great dancer and is talented."

Happy Birthday Salman! - Bollystalgia Podcast Episode 3

After a long delay, I'm back with a podcast episode of my favorite Salman Khan songs from the 90s to 2010. I go extra gaga in this episode because I had a massive crush on Salman when I was 14, and yes, I still have residue from that crush remaining in my heart, especially after seeing his awesomeness in Dabangg this year.

Still, my fondest memories are of his early songs - so here's a trip down memory lane of my favorite Salman songs - right in time for his birthday today (December 27th, 2010). You can listen to the episode here:

Asamoah Gyan is looking forward to playing in front of Sunderland's "incredible fans" after he completed a club-record transfer to the Stadium of Light.

The 24-year-old has penned a four-year deal after the Black Cats paid a fee in excess of £13m to bring the striker to Wearside.

Gyan, who has scored 22 goals in 44 games for Ghana, completed his protracted move with just 15 minutes to spare before the 6pm transfer deadline.

Now he can't wait to get started and repay the faith manager Steve Bruce has shown in him.

In a world exclusive interview, Gyan said: "It's been a long day, but finally I'm happy to be here and my family and friends are also happy for me.

"My family is in England already and I am happy this is the right place for me.

"The Sunderland coach has faith in me because he has been following me for two years now.

"I am pleased I have the opportunity to come to England."

Gyan added that he will embrace the supporters' "never say die" attitude and is convinced he can be a success on Wearside.

He said: "I follow English football and I know Sunderland have incredible fans.

"I especially know about the derby when they play against Newcastle. That is something incredible. I have witnessed that myself.

"The Sunderland fans never say die. They keep cheering their team on for 90 minutes. That gives me confidence to play maximum football.

I am here to do my best and show what I can do. I have watched Sunderland play before - I think it will be good."

I love accessories..as for monochrome and not-so-into-in-love-with-pattern fabrics i considered that accessories is a must, it could be anything..earring, ring, bracelet, necklace. For me earring is not really necessary, since i let my hair down..mostly =)

Westwood's beginnings are in punk music and she pioneered punk style, first gaining notoriety when the Sex Pistols wore her clothing at their shows and appearances.
